"Accommodation is provided for a crew of 8, in the forecastle there are 4 steel bunks, wood table and wood forms, food lockers and a coal stove. There is no saloon on board and the forward accommodation is used by the whole of the officers and crew as a mess room. On the starboard side there is a wooden provision locker built in, and at the forward end abaft of the hawse pipes a wood transverse bulkhead has been erected to provide a store space for ropes etc. The Master and Mate are accommodated in separate rooms under the bridge, these are fitted out with wood bunk settee, wardrobe etc., but no washing facilities are provided."
